Resin sand casting production process in China

Resin sand casting is to mix raw sand and resin to form resin sand,take resin sand into the mold cavity and heat into a fixed shape,finally poured in the mold.

Furan resin sand  casting process has the following advantages:

1. Blank casting surface has the smooth surface roughness and tight casting tolerances,which can meet tolerance CT7-9.

2. Furan resin sand  casting has the high molding efficiency and Short the production cycle,low casting prices,mainly produce some heavy parts with large quantities batch orders,for example Machine tool body,Pump valve,Uprights,gantry tops,connecting beams and so on.

Due to has the  large size and length for some machine body castings,the original sand casting and shell casting cannot meet the production requirements of drawings,foundry need to choose the resin sand casting to complete these parts.Due to gray cast iron has good wear resistance, shock absorption and Mechanical properties,almost all machine tool castings are made of gray iron HT250  and gray cast iron class 30.

Machine tool castings include machine bed, machine table, machine column, machine gantry top, machine beam and so on.Machine tool bed  as a large castings,in order to improve the mechanical properties,our foundry must add heat treatment process,include Annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering.
